Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do you accept insurance?

ClearPoint Counseling is currently a private-pay practice and does not participate directly with insurance plans. Upon request, a superbill may be provided for clients seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance company.

  2. Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can discuss your concerns, answer questions, and determine whether we're a good fit before scheduling your first appointment.

  3. How do I know if we're a good fit?

Finding the right therapist is important. During our free consultation and early sessions, we'll discuss your goals, concerns, and what you're looking for in therapy. If at any point it seems another provider may better meet your needs, I'll do my best to help connect you with appropriate resources.

  4. Do you offer sliding-scale appointments?

A limited number of sliding-scale appointments are available based on financial need and availability. Please contact me to learn more.

  5. What ages do you work with?

I provide therapy services to teens (14+) and adults throughout Pennsylvania.

  6. Do you offer virtual therapy?

Yes. All sessions are conducted virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Clients must be physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of their session.

  7. What concerns do you help with?

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, stress, and other mental health concerns. Please refer to the services page for more information.

  8. How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. As progress is made, session frequency may be adjusted based on your needs, goals, and preferences.

  9. How long are therapy sessions?

The initial intake session is approximately 60 minutes. Ongoing therapy sessions are typically 45-53 minutes in length.

  10. What can I expect during my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss your concerns, relevant history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. Together, we'll begin developing a plan that supports your needs and priorities.

  11. What if I've never been to therapy before?

That's completely okay! Many clients start therapy for the first time feeling nervous or unsure of what to expect. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can ask questions and move at a pace that feels right for you.

  12. What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
